With our combined efforts, we can provide our students with up-to-date and relevant information that will improve their overall quality of life.


Michael Alston, Chairman

Michael brings to the table 20 years of Transportation and Logistical experience.  He understands the importance of using education to improve business processes and meet strategic goals. In addition to his current role as Chairman, he is also Co-Founder of ALSTNTEC, LLC a certified SBA WOSB and DBE/MBE consulting company that provides Business Development services to residents in the Maryland area. Through his dedication and commitment,  Michael works to successfully oversee and implement several key projects to ensure the success of the workshops,  events, and tasks that directly affected the bottom line. As a result, the organization is able to benefit from his efforts through new structures, policies and organizational balance.


Anne Alston, President and Executive Director

Anne Alston is a person who is passionate about education.  With more than 25 years of experience, Anne’s extensive background comes with the precision of providing Career Transition, Professional Development, Mentoring, and Empowerment Services. Her primary mission is to bring awareness to the importance of goal-driven preparation and works to educate our youth and adults in the areas of career, entrepreneurship, and job retention.

As an activist for adult/youth education, Anne actively participates as a workshop presenter Prince George’s County Public Schools, the Maryland Future Business Leaders Association, the Maryland Roundtable for Education STEMnet program and the Housing Opportunity Commission of Montgomery County. She was also a Mentor with the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) for which she was awarded the UMUC Alumni Achiever Award for her dedicated service. To date, she has instructed over 1170 adults, 1300 students and has facilitated more than 60 workshops. She currently serves on the Prince George’s County Public Schools Business Management & Finance Advisory Board and creator of the Business Men and Women of Color Podcast and Magazine.

Anne earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and a dual Masters of Science degrees in Information Technology with a specialization in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity Policy from the University of Maryland University College.


Chris Jordan, Director of Leadership and Veteran Services

Chris Jordan is the Executive Leader of TeamCNE, LLC, an independent Executive Leadership and Life Coaching firm. Chris specializes in training, equipping and motivating people to reach and exceed their goals professionally and personally from a leadership perspective.

As a veteran himself, Chris has over 22 years of public service experience with the Air Force and a local county police agency. Chris says that “Even before my public service, I had life experiences that taught me, sometimes painfully, the delicate nature of humanity. I have incorporated these life lessons into every aspect of our business and it is the driving force behind my passion to encourage and empower everyone I come in contact with.”

Chris holds a graduate certificate in Christian Ministry from Liberty University, a Masters of Science and Bachelor of Science degree in Management, Public Safety Executive Leadership Program, from Johns Hopkins University; and an A.A.S. in Criminal Justice and Public Affairs from the Community College of the Air Force. He is also the President of the MedStar Franklin Square Toastmasters Club, a certified member of the John Maxwell Mentorship Team and a member of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce.


Monique Malabet, Director of Outreach Services 

Monique Malabet is a Realtor and an active member of the National Association of Realtors, Greater Capital Area, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Northern Virginia Association of Realtors. Ms. Malabet is an investor, life insurance agent, and Notary of the Public in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. She is a graduate from Hampton University, where she graduated with honors and received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

In 2011, only a year after graduating from Hampton, Monique acquired her first property, sparking her passion for real estate as an investor. Shortly thereafter, she rented the property and relocated to Washington, DC, where she began her career as a Real Estate Agent. She quickly became licensed as a Realtor® in Washington DC, MD, and VA, and acquired additional investment properties.

Over the past 4 years, she has assisted over a hundred families with the purchase and selling of their homes. Ms. Malabet has geared her efforts and services towards helping communities and neighborhoods build their personal wealth. With a growing passion for investing and assisting her community to invest, she currently serves as Chair of the Prince George’s County Public Schools Business Management & Finance Advisory Board, NAF Academy of Finance Advisory Board at KIPP DC College Preparatory, apart of a radio show on NLG Radio called Success in the Evenings with Coach Ricky Terry, and has started a Podcast called “Young, Black, & I Invest” which changes the narrative on blackness and wealth.
